General Event Questions

What is RISE National?
Back for its eighteenth year, RISE National 2024 is the must-attend mega conference for Medicare Advantage professionals of all levels and job functions from health plans, health care providers, and health care technology organizations to hear best practices and benchmark with peers on the latest regulatory changes, technology trends, and revenue generating strategies.

When and where is RISE National 2024?
RISE National 2024 is taking place on Sunday, March 17th, Monday, March 18th, and Tuesday, March 19th at the Music City Center in downtown Nashville.

What is the RISE National experience like?
Expect a five-star conference experience with gourmet food & beverage, top-notch accommodations, a world-class speaking faculty, and leading health care brands set-up in the exhibit hall.

Is space limited?
Yes, space is limited. We recommend registering as soon as possible to secure your spot.

Registration Questions

How do I register for RISE National?
There are two ways to register for RISE National 2024. For self service, you can visit national.risehealth.org and navigate to the Register button in the top right corner. If you prefer assistance in the registration process, please contact our conference concierge, Terrence Johnson, at tjohnson@risehealth.org or 704.341.2647 and he will take care of it for you.

How much does it cost to register for this event?
Pricing varies based on the organization you work for. Please visit national.risehealth.org/rates to see a full price list.

What is included in the registration fee?
Access to all event sessions taking place on Monday, March 18th and Tuesday, March 19th and the event materials from those sessions, meals and refreshments as outlined in the agenda, and ample networking opportunities. You can add a pre-conference workshop on Sunday, March 17th to your registration for an additional fee.

Is there an additional charge for pre-conference workshops?
Yes. Our pre-conference workshops can be added to your registration for an additional fee:

  • Workshop A: Risk Adjustment Practitioner: $700
  • Workshop B: Advanced HCC Auditor: $700
  • Workshop C: Revolutionizing Health Plans: A Member-Centric Approach for Sustainable Success: $300
  • Workshop D (TBA): $300
  • Workshop E: 2024 Developments in Risk Adjustment Enforcement, Compliance, and Agency Actions and What Your Organization Should Be Doing Now: $300

When is the deadline for registration?
You may register at any time, up until the day of the event. However, the price does increase the longer you wait.

Does the registration include air transportation and hotel accommodations?
All costs for air transportation and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the attendee.

Are meals included with my conference registration?
Yes, gourmet meals are provided for all attendees for breakfast and lunch during the main conference days (Monday, March 18th and Tuesday, March 19th). Evening hors d'oeuvres and beer, wine, and cocktails will be offered at the welcome reception on Sunday, March 17th and the evening networking reception on Monday, March 18th. Please check the agenda for times and availability. While effort is made to accommodate broad dietary requirements, if you have an extreme allergy or dietary restriction, you are encouraged to arrange for meals as necessary.

Is there single-day registration available?
No, you will need to register for the entire event.

Are there group discounts available if we have more than one person who wants to register for an event?
Yes, we love when teams join us and we discount accordingly! Contact Terrence Johnson at tjohnson@risehealth.org or 704.341.2647 to register your team.

I am with the media. Are complimentary press passes available?
We do offer complimentary press passes to approved media. Please visit national.risehealth.org/resources/press-passes for more information and email Kristen Smith at ksmith@risehealth.org to apply.

Hotel & Travel

What are the hotel options for RISE National 2024?
We have negotiated special rates at properties throughout downtown Nashville. Visit national.risehealth.org/location/where-to-stay/ to see all accommodations. The hotels closest to the Music City Center will sell out quickly, so we recommend booking your stay as soon as you register for RISE National.

How do I make hotel reservations to receive the discounted rate?
Visit https://national.risehealth.org/location/where-to-stay/ and find the hotel you’d like to stay. Each hotel option lists specific instructions on how to book by phone and/or website.

Can I book a hotel if I haven’t registered for RISE National yet?
No. Our special rates at each room block are reserved for RISE National 2024 registrants only.

Is there a shuttle service available from hotels to the conference?
Not at this time. Many of the accommodations are walking distance to the Music City Center.

What airport should I fly into?
We recommend flying into Nashville International Airport which is located 7.5 miles from the Music City Center and downtown Nashville.

How do I get from the airport to my hotel?
We do not provide transportation from the airport to the hotel, so we recommend a taxi or a rideshare app such as Uber or Lyft.

What kind of weather should I anticipate?
The average high in March in Nashville is 62 degrees with the average low clocking in at 40 degrees.

Sessions & Speakers

How many sessions are there?
There are 50 sessions on the agenda including pre-conference workshops, general sessions, and concurrent sessions. View the agenda here.

Will there be networking opportunities at the event(s)?
Yes! Networking is the #1 reason attendees return to RISE National year after year. We understand the importance of networking for professional development, and our goal is to create an environment where you can build valuable connections that extend far beyond the conference. RISE National is designed to offer diverse networking opportunities to enhance your experience, including 9 hours of networking baked into the agenda to ensure there is plenty of time for peer-to-peer exchange during scheduled networking breaks, informal meet-and-greet cocktail receptions, all-day access to the exhibit hall, and hallway chats.

Will there be sessions on AI?
Absolutely! From our team’s research, we discovered that AI is a big topic keeping you up at night. We have many sessions addressing AI and how you can utilize it to stay ahead of the curve.

What does my experience level need to be for sessions?
We welcome professionals of all job levels to join us at RISE National! If a specific job level is required, it will be noted in the session description.

How do I apply to be a session speaker at RISE National 2024?
Applications for RISE National 2024 are currently closed. To apply for RISE National 2025, please reach out to Altair Gonzalez at agonzalez@risehealth.org to be added to our interested speakers list.

Who are the keynotes?
Our 2024 keynotes are Jeremy Poincenot, Inspirational Speaker, Performance Coach, & Blind Golf Champion, and Dr. Aditi Nerurkar, Harvard Physician & Author. Our third and final keynote speaker will be announced soon.

How do you choose your speakers?
All speakers are vetted through an extensive process to ensure their expertise and message aligns with the goals of RISE National.

Are presentations available for download?
Yes, all RISE National attendees will receive access to the conference materials in the mobile app.

Do you have to pre-register for sessions?
No. The only sessions that require pre-registration are the pre-conference workshops which are an additional fee.

Onsite Questions

What is the dress code at RISE National?
We aim to create a comfortable and sophisticated atmosphere, allowing you to bring your best self to the professional setting with a business casual dress code. Feel free to express your personalized style - and even bring out your inner honky tonk - using business casual as the guide.

Do you have to check in each day of the conference?
No, you only have to check in the day you arrive so you can pick up your badge. A badge is required for access to all areas of the conference.

How to request for special needs or meals?

Does RISE National 2024 have a code of conduct?
Yes. By attending a RISE event, you agree to abide by our code of conduct while onsite and agree to contribute to a positive and respectful environment for all participants. Violations of this code of conduct may result in actions such as warnings, removal from the conference, or legal consequences, depending on the severity of the violation and RISE’s discretion.

All conference participants including attendees, speakers, sponsors, and staff are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect and professionalism; harassment, discrimination, offensive language, threats and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated
  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner during sessions, receptions, and sponsored activities
  • Engage in collaborative conversations and idea exchange in a respectful and constructive manner
  • Report any suspicious or concerning behavior to RISE staff promptly

All weapons and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. Any conference participant who is asked to leave the event will not be reimbursed for any portion of their attendance fee.

If there are any giveaways at RISE National, who is eligible to receive them?
Most giveaways are available only to attendees from health plans, health care providers, and similar organizations. Giveaways are not available for sponsors or vendors.

How can I provide feedback or suggestions for improving the conference?
We value your insights and appreciate your commitment to enhancing the conference experience. Please provide feedback on the event by clicking here.

Billing Questions

How can I pay for RISE National 2024?
If you are registering online, we accept all major credit cards. If you register through a conference concierge, we accept credit card or can issue an invoice.

How can I get an invoice for the event registration(s)?

How can I request a W-9 form?
Please contact Kelli Bush at kbush@risehealth.org.

Will I receive a paid receipt for online registrations?
Yes, a receipt will be sent to the email you provide to us at registration.

How can I cancel my registration?
Please email confirm@risehealth.org. All cancellations will receive full credit equivalent to your paid registration amount to be used on an event of your choosing within 12-months from date of cancellation. Cancellation payment credits can be used either by the person listed on the registration or a colleague from the same company

If I am unable to attend the event, can someone substitute for me, or could I receive a credit for a future event?
Please email your substitution request to confirm@risehealth.org. You may substitute registrants from the same organization.
